I agree. The drivers and teams have Next Gen figured out, SNT data is huge, and these cars were designed to race on the road courses. Turns out when that happens you get IMSA-esque racing. Which is fine.... but it's not NASCAR. It used to be so fun watching these guys drive heavy race cars...

This past weekend's fan favorite underdog locking himself into the Playoffs with a clutch win at a crown jewel event probably just bought us another year of unchanged Playoffs. I would be totally happy with Bubba winning at Indy breaking a 100-race winless streak. That is a a compelling story...

Bubba earned that one, for sure. Still stings a bit, especially with Preece finishing p4. So close but now certainly out of the playoffs without a win.

Fixed it for you. Building the team around Austin Dillion was a head-scratcher from day one... I am amazed the experiment is still going 12ish years later.

Would it be a conspiracy to say with Hamlin leading the race NASCAR would be a bit more likely to draw this one out and try to get it going again...?
