You're right, I just hate the damn things because they actually shut down streets and bridges for them. I don't even bother going out anywhere near them if they happen. The track would have just had major traffic on a highway that has traffic the majority of the time anyway.

He's a great racer, there's no doubt about that but one of my favorite things about Indycar was seeing how Power would blow his chance every year at the championship and he wiped that away a few years ago and now he crossed the indy 500 off his list too. I wonder if he saw a sports psychologist...

If you guys have fun that's all that matters. I sat in the top rows at Pocono and hated it because the campers in the infield block most of the views from turn 1 to turn 3 even using a pair of binoculars. The traffic was hell getting in and out cause of the one road that gets you there...

If you haven't been before you're better off skipping Pocono anyway, miserable place to see a race live, you miss basically all of the action being there.

I usually take my dad to the Dover races but we both decided on skipping the fall race and dragged a tv outside and cooked in the backyard and had a blast so we'll be doing that again. Dover is a great place to see a race, it's just the hassle of traffic getting there and back and parking that...

I watch formula 1 just because I DVR it and eventually get around to watching it when nothing else is on but it's by far my least favorite racing out of anything with an engine that I watch. I hate calling racing boring since that's always the first thing a non racing fan will say but formula 1...

Doesn't matter to me either way, I watch live maybe 4x a year. Otherwise I DVR them all and watch late at night or on Monday/Tuesday. I'm not wasting my weekends watching all the bs, cautions and commercials live.

I have no problems with watching races at Pocono... on tv. You couldn't give me free tickets to go to that track though. The sight lines are absolutely terrible and the traffic is a nightmare cause it's essentially 1 road in and out of the place.
