    Gotta Revise This Points System

I agree that the regular season champion being locked into the final at Phoenix is a good idea. That would make the regular season, especially as it builds through August, really really competitive among the fastest cars in the field.

    Silly Season 2025

Two chances out of 40 aren't great odds, even with two drivers like Logano and Blaney. Briscoe was their future too, but then SHR tanked and ultimately went away. Zane was their future coming up the ladder, but now they no longer want him. So that's two future stars they thought they had in...

    The Cucumber Returns

Good. They made the right call. Logano fined $50,000 for his antics on pit road after the checkers too.

I feel the same way. KB hasn't forgotten how to drive but it's obvious that him and RCR aren't clicking right now, or that the equipment just isn't good enough. They had some early success immediately after he took over the 8, but since around mid-season last year or so, he's been dragging that...

    Silly Season 2025

I think KB lands at the 7. Just a feeling. He's too late in his career to stick with this RCR situation, and Spire has historically over the past couple of seasons been willing pay hefty salaries to aquire talent. I also feel that if you're a team that signed Rodney to the box, why would you...

Bonehead of the Race: Richmond II

In fairness to Austin, he probably didn't remember what a restart within the first ten rows was like anymore.

Bonehead of the Race: Richmond II

I didn't watch the race but I just caught up on the finish. I'm glad I didn't watch. Every NASCAR series from the bottom of the ladder on up to the premier division is now ARCA. Unreal.

    Silly Season 2025

Speaking of Mobil 1, with SHR's demise, I wonder where Mobil will reallocate that sponsor money next year. Will they increase their presence with C Bell and Legacy MC, or will they latch onto a new team? They won't be following Berry to the 21 because of the Penske/Shell connection.

They're only running the 50 this year for these special drivers like Kamui and Montoya because it's Mobil 1's 50th anniversary. They even announced Juan as the final driver in the 50 car. It'll revert back to 67 again next year, or whenever they run a third car again.

    Legacy to Toyota

Remember when DW kept driving for way too long? Some people's memories of his driving career jump to the 66 Haas-Carter Taurus days, depending on the era in which you started watching. That's what Jimmie is doing right now.

    Deegan update

It was the same in trucks last year, where mid-year she had less points than one or two drivers that hadn't even entered every race. Pushing her up isn't doing her any favors and was never going to. I was a fan when she was in ARCA and wanted to see this work, but she needs to develop before...

    Johali's Rate the Cup race ---- 600

I don't have a rating, but I'm as disappointed as everybody else. If Fox made the decision, I don't see how NASCAR can let the TV network decide the experience of the fans that paid and traveled to be at the race in person. To me, that should be the primary objective, to make the in-person...

Interesting to follow the NBA's lead on this. I'm not totally against this, but I'm weary of NASCAR being overly influenced by other sports.

Sounds like Tony and Gene are cashing out entirely to me. Matt Weaver is reporting that the SHR charters, and the building itself, are said to be for sale. https://sportsnaut.com/michael-mcdowell-announces-front-row-departure-as-nascar-silly-season-begins/
