Only fair since there was interference on both sides. Byron didn’t do anything wrong; neither did Truex years ago, but he got the short end of the stick in the form of getting booted from the chase because MWR’s interference was thrown in for his benefit.

From what I’m seeing in the NASCAR thread, NASCAR should take notes! Organic race won by arguably the best driver on pure merit, which may very well and rightfully decide the championship!

Logano was initially eliminated after the round of twelve, only to be reinstated and win his way into the final four. Byron was initially eliminated after the round of eight… only to go on and win the championship perhaps? 😝

That’s the guy who merits a spot along with, say, Tyler Reddick. The two most complete seasons produced by anyone this year have come from them and their respective teams.

If this stands as it is though, hell I’ve got to admit that the final four lineup is intriguing. I have no idea who to pull for. Maybe Blaney for the repeat? At least his body of work this year is much improved compared to 2023.

Well done Blaney. Given what I’m reading here though, it sounds like it wasn’t an altogether bad thing that I couldn’t watch the race. The other series’ finales look fair enough, but this one is cheesed.
