Felt bad for Zilich with the pit penalty. Would have been interesting to see if he could have stayed with the 11.
But he did work his way from the back to a top 5. If nothing else it will be a confidence booster for him.
Like Harvick said, it looks like that rear tire being back like it was may have pulled the fuel filler out which got it everywhere and a minor spark lit it up.
Trying to make heads or tails out of this new format has my head spinning. A 26 car invert??? Maybe I'm missing something, but wouldn't that just invite sandbagging with the guys up front to get to the back? Seems like another unnecessary gimick by Nascar.
This car sucks at a lot of places. There was no need for sensitive rack and pinion steering, 5 spd trannys, independent rears, etc. I say put them in O'Reillys cars along with 750 horsepower.
