This race was an epic demonstration on why the current title rules are awesome! Loved it and all the updates in the coverage. Great information throughout the race.

They didn’t accomplish what was required to qualify. You’re still confused by the old system. Now, winning is the most important thing then points.

I agree. All part of the playoff system people claim is manufactured or manufacturing drama. I don’t care what it is, I like it.

I’m not insisting that you do. I’m not believing you don’t enjoy what it produces. Just like I don’t believe all these people that “hate wrecks” or fights/arguments from racing incidents brought on by the increased intensity of the playoffs. I’m sure they all run from the TV when they happen...

Eh, I don’t really care. Last night was a good example of why the playoffs make the racing pretty interesting and dramatic. We wouldn’t have seen the 23 and 17 racing their guts in the middle of the pack if not for a playoff spot. Or the 23 come prepared to go for it all like they did...

All a matter of opinion on the championship. But to say the playoff doesn’t affect the effort therefor the product in a way we all want is ludicrous. We saw an epic race for the win by 2 guys racing to get in (and win) plus 2 other guys trying to point their way in that made last night pretty...

It doesn’t bother me that drivers after about 14th or so make it or don’t. Do we really think they have a shot at the title? They are just participants for the first and maybe second round. I like the live updates. Especially if there is a driver I want to make it in or one I don’t.

And I’m asking if there was one with new teams and drivers?

It’s tough to ignore I agree. But the way the champion is crowned doesn’t take away from what’s happening on track to me. Except some hard racing it creates. Manufactured or not, I love it and so do the detractors. It’s just something to bitch about.

I agree. It’s about what happens on the track for me….not watching point standings go up or down. If that controls your interest you’re doing it wrong.

With new drivers and teams? After investing all the years and emotion in whoever you support in NASCAR? I doubt it.
