I may have to drive up there and watch them arrive. If they would allow access to the hauler area than I would buy a ticket and go to the race again. But they won’t.
It wasn’t real bad because we ran out of it within about 40 miles and it was clear the rest of the way. We even made it through Flagstaff just a couple hours before a snow storm hit that was supposed to drop about 6 inches.
It was snowing hard when we left the hotel in Indiana on Sunday morning, but we got ahead of it and didn't see any more snow until Flagstaff on Monday evening. We got through there just in time before 6 inches dropped that night. But we were already at our hotel in Kingman AZ.
I'm texting back and forth with Josh right now. I will be racing with him at his home track in Oklahoma Saturday and then he will also be at the Indiana race next week.
It kind of sucks that we will be racing slot cars in Oklahoma City on Saturday only about an hour and a half from Tulsa. So close but so far away. I'm sure I will see some of the haulers leaving there on Sunday though. We will probably swing by so my buddy can see how huge the place is.
Thanks, StandOnIt and aunty dive for posting all of the Chili Bowl info. I have been so busy getting ready to go east that I haven't had time to follow it much, so I have been checking in here to see the info and results you put on here.
