    daytona carnage count?

Did anyone actually do a full tally of cars that were destroyed? I was thinking the total cost was over $10 mil based on Mike Waltrips comment of 250k per car. I'm sure xfinity and trucks are less, so maybe $175k and $100k for the xfinity and trucks. I'll see if I can dig this up later.

    Stage changes

LOL. So much for any strategy at all this coming year. The leaders will jump to the lead and stay in the lead. No need to pit early because everyone basically has to pit at the same time now to make it to the end. And since Aero is so important I expect a lot of guys dominating the races this...

    58th Rolex 24 at DAYTONA

Does this mean Friday's race is on and the NBC track pass app? I don't have the trackpass so I'm hoping Friday's race is free! It's one of my favorites for the year.

    IMSA 2020

I love those Lambo cars. They look pretty cool. Even if you aren't a huge Lambo fan, its great to see something different and more manufacturers out there.

    Rate the 2019 Season

2- most boring season I've seen in a long time. I stopped watching after Kes led 95% of the laps at martinsville. Congrats to Rowdy nation, but even KB looked bored and unsatisfied with the win.

What Do you Think of the New Package?

Sorry to drop in with a negative comment but I got really frustrated by the crap Burton was talking about when Denny Hamlin ruined his day by driving through the infield. All Burton could say was that Texas Motor Speedway and all other speedways need to put millions of dollars into their...

    '21 Generation 7 Car news

Looks to me that Nascar might want to move their truck bodies from full sized to mid sized. Ranger, Colorado, Frontier, Tacoma, Ridgeline, new Kia truck, new Dakota or new Commanche. Mustang, Camaro, Altima, Supra, Civic, Stinger, Challenger Seems like a good fit to me.

Attention NASCAR : Listen to your fans !

I've missed the past couple of races, did they get rid of the parachutes off the back and the stage cautions yet?

2019 24 Hours of Le Mans

Anyone else try to sign up for the motortrend subscription? I think there are too many people trying to register at the same time. It won't let me register. Kind of a bummer.

What Do you Think of the New Package?

Oh I see now. You are a NASCAR shill. That's cool. Is this like the @NASCAR Apologist account? He's funny! Your definition of great is vastly different from mine.

Short term memory issue? Kennseth/Larson, Elliot/Larson ? Any of that ring a bell or do I have to go find youtube clips?

What Do you Think of the New Package?

Dover had some of the best racing with previous packages, so it's not the track.

What Do you Think of the New Package?

Actually at this point, I would let drivers, owners, and anyone else complain about the package. Fans love to watch that drama, and then Nascar has an excuse to change the package mid season.

What Do you Think of the New Package?

The one thing I notice that is different, and not just at Dover, is that there is basically no slipping and sliding around anymore. The cars are planted to the track and it seems a lot easier to catch the car if it gets turned sideways by contact with another car.

There are several possibilities; 1. The "slope" of the other cars could be an optical illusion and aren't really as "sloped" as they appear. For example, the flat panel only extends maybe 2/3rds of the width of the car while the headlights are extremely sloped. Compare that to the camaro which...

I think Blaney does and I think his podcast helps. Jones and Suarez don't. Suarez has at least upped his game and is a lot more vocal at SHR than he was at JGR.

NASCAR Making Move To Buy ISC

Once this goes through, NASCAR will try to buy the rest of the tracks from Bruton Smith. If he objects, NASCAR will move to sell the whole thing to a major multinational company like Liberty bought F1 and Bruton will be out in the cold. The new company will either buy him out or charge him a...

What Do you Think of the New Package?

Interesting. Wonder when we will hear about this? Will it be used at Talladega or do we have to wait til Dover? I can only imagine what this is going to look like too, with a name like "tail extension panel". Is this a piece of lexan hanging off the back of the car or are we extending the length...
