    Aric Almirola needs to go

It's time for SHR to part ways with Aric Almirola. This guy has two wins in 5+ seasons. During that span, Kevin Harvick has 23 wins. That is just unacceptable. Sure, SHR is struggling right now, but what was the excuse when they were at the top? Not only does he has two measly wins, but both of...

Ryan Preece: bad luck or lack of skills?

I think SHR had faith that Almirola would turn it around. Thus far, he's having the worst season of his career, which is saying something considering how bad he's been since 2021. I doubt funding will save Almirola from getting the boot if he keeps stinking it up.

Ryan Preece: bad luck or lack of skills?

Ryan Blaney would be awesome, but I don't see him leaving Penske. There was so much slander towards Danica when she was running mid-pack in a SHR car. Her replacement in Almirola has been just as bad since the start of last year. I'd put Corey LaJoie in that #4, boot Almirola & replace him...

Is Corey Lajoie ready to drive for one of the top Cup teams? What are your thoughts?

Definitely. He'd be great in that #4 SHR car.

Ryan Preece: bad luck or lack of skills?

He finished 12th at Phoenix. I thought it was a very impressive run. It might be a sign of things to come.

Ryan Preece: bad luck or lack of skills?

It's not how you start, it's how you finish (literally). Preece has time to turn it around. SHR just needs to find some speed. Ford as a whole is doing pretty good, so there is hope for Preece & his teammates.

Ryan Preece: bad luck or lack of skills?

I think Preece can be a treat to win races this year. Larson has had bad luck as well. I'm higher on Preece than most though.

    My Opinion?

Moving forward for Ward Burton :)

Now I know who the bonehead of that race was. ;)

Ryan Preece: bad luck or lack of skills?

This season thus far, Ryan Preece has an average finish of 27. That's pretty abysmal, considering many thought he'd be an upgrade over Custer. I've defended Preece on different NASCAR stream chats, but it seems there are very few who think he'll turn it around. Many believe he simply isn't...

    My Opinion?

Ward has a Daytona 500 trophy. Not many can say that. Especially at the time he won it, it was a huge deal to win that race.

    Stage tweak for road courses

That's just making things too complicated. If a caution comes out & they have to restart during the final lap of a stage, so be it. NASCAR did their best to improve the product by eliminating stage cautions. It's like adding more GWC's, completely unnecessary.

    Cup RACE thread --- COTA

Ty Dillon has finished outside the top 30 in 5 of the first 6 races this season. His teammate Corey Lajoie hasn't finished outside the top 20 in any race. I don't think Ty makes it halfway through the season in that car. At one point, you wonder if it's luck or simply lack of skills. He didn't...

Tyler Reddick is a B-Tier Driver - Admitted

That was an A+ win by a "B+" driver. :headbang:

    Cup RACE thread --- COTA

I didn't see anything embarrassing about COTA. NASCAR fans had been complaining about the lack of road courses for years. NASCAR is catering to their fans by adding many of them, which I think is awesome. There will be some growing pains, but I think we're headed in the right direction.

I get that. Still, we wouldn't be giving him a pass had Bowman run over someone, & I think it was dangerously close to happening.

    Cup RACE thread --- COTA

Suarez was clearly faster than Bowman. If Bowman doesn't slow down, he easily could've run over someone. That was dangerous.

NASCAR Pick 'Em 2023 - Circuit of the Americas

Taylor was getting better at restarts, had made it all the way to the top 10. He restarted on the inside in the final restart, I thought he was safe. That is, until someone dove underneath Taylor & basically took him out.

Wow, that was just as bad as Ty Gibbs door slamming Ty Dillon on pit road last year.
