    Johali's Rate the Cup race --- 600+

    10. Best race in recent history, which is incredible given how bad the 600 has been over the past decade or so. The new car has turned the cookie cutters (not named Texas Motor Speedway) into must-see events for racing fans. Unless the sight of Denny Hamlin's face gives you indigestion, it...

    Cup RACE thread --- 600

There must be a vast equipment disparity between the #4 and the other SHR cars. I realize how good Harvick is, but there's no way he's getting that much more out of his car than Custer and Briscoe are, and Almirola has always been a guy that will perform to the level of his equipment, so that...

Johali's Rate the Cup race --- COTA

3/10. The racing wasn't all that bad, but the decision to call the race with three hours of daylight left at a road course with rain tires is just poor race management. Granted Chase kind of deserved the win after NASCAR stole one from him at the Daytona RC. The whining from the usual suspects...

Johali's Rate the Cup race --- Talladega

    7. Not likely to be a memorable Talladega race, but still better than an average race at a cookie cutter.

Johali's Rate the Cup race --- Bristol, dirt

    9. Huge props to NASCAR for trying something new. Obviously there were some issues that can be ironed out before next year, but I'm glad the sport was bold enough to try something like this. Haters once again proven dead wrong.

Cup RACE thread --- on dirt, Bristol

Could they have called the previous caution the competition yellow? Yeah, probably. I know a lot of people will dismiss it as NASCAR wanting another restart for entertainment, and I'm sure that's part of it, but given how little dirt experience these guys have I can't imagine it hurts to get...

Johali's Rate the Cup race --- Phoenix

    5. Ho-hum race at a ho-hum track.

Cup RACE thread --- Las Vegas

What a run by Erik Jones. Finishing in the top ten on speed in the 43 is quite the accomplishment, especially considering they have significantly less sponsorship than they've had since before Aric Almirola brought Smithfield on board.

Kevin Harvick has won 22 races since Jimmie's last win

I'm not so sure Hendrick has been a top tier organization over the past few years. In terms of resources alone? Absolutely. But when it comes to performance on the track, in particular the 1.5 milers, Hendrick cars have handled noticeably worse than Team Penske, the top three JGR teams, and the...

NASCAR To Convert California Into Short Track

Because it needs a repave soon. It would be wildly expensive and take away the track's main selling point (the worn surface), turning it into a worse version of Michigan for the next decade.
