I know by "organization" you mean Toyota and that's where Chevy is missing it to me. Does not seem like they do as well sharing data.

Exactly. It's the flatter/shorter tracks that Toyota owns right now and HMS struggles at so I am not going to relax. Although, I feel like if multiple HMS cars miss the round of 12 maybe that will get their attention and drastic changes will come. I like AG a lot but the sport has passed him...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

Now there is someone who GETS IT. I know they will not have the fastest cars every race. Expecting that would be spoiled and entitled. However, it seemed like amateur hour out there on Bowman's pit stop and Chase's strategy and Chase also had a bungled pit-stop although no place near the...

Really? To show up to the playoffs and lay an egg and HMS fans should R-E-LA-X? No chance. It's one thing to miss it some and struggle to run top-10 but to only have one car in the top 20 is not acceptable for a top-notch organization. It has nothing to do with being "spoiled" or "entitled."...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

So I thought the race overall was a good race. Cars could pass and tires meant a lot. I am just shocked by some of what I am seeing here. First - How is Toyota so much better than the field? I think if I am remembering right they took the top 4 and 6 of the top 7? OMG. I just don't...

    Cup RACE thread --- Richmond

I have not been around much the last few weeks and that's not because Chase has had a couple really tough ones - just a lot of personal BS. I wanted to say though that I thought the race was GREAT Saturday night. The major tire fall off and all the passing and strategy it led to was just...

    Cup RACE thread --- Iowa

Your memory seems to be lacking that in your example, those cars were on tires that were hard as rocks with no fall off at all. I recall very vividly (despite my lack of memory) watching those races when I would just fast-forward to the next caution/stage break after 5 or so laps because...

I find your example interesting to say with a good car and driver you can pass and then you use Bubba as the driver example. Bubba is an OK driver but many in the field are better and they are all complaining passing is too hard and it seems to mainly be because of lack of HP and aero-blocking...

I don't think passing should be simple and easy but it should at least be possible outside of restarts. LOL. Less downforce, more HP and tires that give up more over the long run are what we need. Iowa was a good example of a race that seemed to have tire wear but tires did not mean quite enough.

I didn't get a great look at the incidents but it just seemed like good hard racing. Not like either of them ruined the other's day. Everyone always saying Chase is not aggressive enough and then as soon as he is some people take issue with it. He was killing it on some of those restarts...

    Cup RACE thread --- Indy

No - I don't want that. I just want the leader to not be at such an advantage that no one can pass them. It's also frustrating to me that XFINITY is putting on a better show than CUP given that they do not have a lot the same issues in the older style car. NASCAR needs to turn back the clock...

    Cup RACE thread --- Indy

I am not suggesting Indy has ever been known for a lot of passing but I do recall some really good entertaining races there. The issues are all magnified by this car IMO though. I find Kyle Larson to be a much more talented race car driver than Bubba Wallace and he could not pass him because...

    Cup RACE thread --- Indy

I have to agree here. Happy for Bubba but was there a single on-track pass for the lead? I watched Chase's in-car all day and he was consistently turning top-5 lap times saying the balance was good but as soon as you get behind another car all they need to do it aero block and it takes 2-3...

    Cup RACE thread --- Dover

I think for Larson and Hamlin to get back in the conversation Chase and Byron will need a DNF.and and also not have to have one themselves. Chase is very overdue for a DNF so won't be shocking if he gets one. I'd say Byron has had his fill of them.

    Cup RACE thread --- Dover

I still think Byron is going to be tough to hold off as he qualifies way better than Chase and starts up front and gets stage points more consistently. Yesterday was a perfect example. I don't think his car was even that good but he hung out in the top-5 all day and would still have the lead...

    Cup RACE thread --- Dover

Man still can't believe that one got away from Chase. After he overcame the pit road miscue AND beat Denny out on what should have been the money stop and was pulling away it would have been in the bag if not for the oddity of the rain and multiple cautions and letting others pull strategy...

    Dover Motor Speedway Pre-Race Thread

So Chase will be leading the field into turn one (or side by side) on a new tire that has not been tested with zero practice? Sounds fun. What was the old Jimmie Johnson line.... "you commit to the level of grip you hope is there." Not sure how you do that with zero background. LOL

I am glad you are enjoying it and I was at first too but I just see problems with it now. How far does this go? What is NASCAR going to do if anything? I think they will have a problem with people tuning out since we all pretty much know the result before the event. I totally believe he was...

I once again had the alt broadcast. I think it has something to do with my father watching the race live before I do and it not recording it. I can't judge the coverage because of this.
