He isn't nearly as bad as Logano was with Gibbs. But not knowing anything about race cars might be the reason he chokes as he doesn't know what he needs for those final restarts.
If Jimmie never recovers from this slump, it most definitely hurts his status. Dale was a top contender until he passed at age 50, an off year or two but never a multi-year slump where struggled to stay on the lead lap.
I only could bear the first 15 or so laps, it never went green for more than a few laps and took an eternity to get back to green. I wish I had waited it out.
Everything NASCAR wants accomplished could be done by 1) tweaking the tracks it races at and 2) better engineering of the tire. 1) is untouchable and NASCAR spites its own face, and 2) Goodyear is a joke
I don't think the best car necessarily won, just like any plate race. Truex and KyBusch were better. Kevin couldn't get back to the front without help and numerous cautions and good cars taken out. I'd prefer driver skill to be how any changes are made. Adding the roval is a good idea so tracks...
The drivers should buy it, Dale Jr. could probably buy it on his own. Have Jr. become Nascar president and see it skyrocket in popularity, being run by the drivers and not suits.
There are 40 cars in a field, statistically you should get a top 10 25% of the time. What does his percentage go down to in top 5's? I'm just saying there's little difference between Ryan Newman and any other Dave Blaneyreutimann journeyman
Nascar is like country music, at some times it's more popular than others. It had its heyday with Kenny Rogers and company, still popular but not mainstream anymore.
Newman probably left Penske because he was stinking it up the last 2-3 years there. Then he stunk it up at Haas, now stinks it up at Childress. He's simply not good.
