April 13th I got a call that my daughter was being transported from the local ER to RI Hospital. Severe respiratory distress. 10 days later, including 4 days in ICU, countless blood tests and cultures the only thing they know for certain is that she has a unknown infection that is resistant to every IV antibiotic they've tried. Her throat was almost swollen shut so she has a feeding tube and is on O2. Later today we'll find out if she'll be transported to Boston.

My wife and son are masked and gowned when they visit. They don't know what it is and because of my COPD, my lungs are too compromised they say, I can't see her and it's tearing me up.

So if my attittude lately pisses some people off so be it.
 
Sorry to hear that, I wouldn't worry if you piss some of us off. I wish the best for you and your family. From past experiences I can relate what you're going through, it's very tough and painful. My thoughts are with you and family.
 
Oh my, so sorry to hear this. I hope she recovers soon. Don't worry about other things, just concentrate on your daughter's health.
 
Best of wish's to your duaghter I'm sure the doctors will find the cause and cure soon, their pretty good at that anymore.

BTW if a Bitchdown Beatdown makes ya feel better have at it ;)
 
Really sorry to hear about your daughter's infection. Lets hope they figure it out soon and I'm sure they will.
