10 years ago today on October 24, 2004 was the tragic Hendrick Motorsports plane crash en route to Martinsville that claimed the lives of all ten people aboard the aircraft, including Rick Hendrick's son Ricky, team president John Hendrick, engine builder Randy Dorton, and other Hendrick family members, employees, and business partners. HMS driver Jimmie Johnson went on to win at Martinsville that day, but this was definitely one of the darkest days in NASCAR history.

That day and a couple weeks after were pretty surreal. I'll never forget it.

I had never seen the NBC piece above. Well done...thanks for sharing.
