Waltrip Set to Make 1,000th Career NASCAR Start at Atlanta: #55-Michael Waltrip will make his 1,000th NASCAR start at Atlanta Motor Speedway when he starts the #55 NAPA Toyota for the Pep Boys Auto 500 on Sunday, Oct. 26. After finishing 18th in Martinsville in his 999th-combined NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck Series start, Waltrip returns to Atlanta for number 1,000, where he has eight career top-10 finishes.

My bad. Michael has exactly four more wins that Kenny. How's that. :cool:

Even Jimmy Spencer, BobbY Hamilton, John Andretti, Ward Burton, Derrike Cope, Sterling Marlin, Bobby Hillin, Jamie McMurray and Greg Sacks have won at Daytona or Talladega. :whoopee:

It would be interesting to know how many caution flags he has caused in those 1000 starts...
 
...not to mention how many other drivers he's taken out while he's crashing. He's prolly seen more linear feet of fence than any other current driver.
 
Yep. Whenever you're looking for a caution for your driver, just call MIKEY!! That being said, you also have to have huge hopes your driver is nowhere near Mikey when you need that caution. ;)
