120 million dollar man

That us a lot of money for one player, and especially for Joe Flacco. But, the Ravens kinda had to do this. If they didn't, they would have been starting from scratch with a new QB and a lot of veterans who would be pretty upset about being in a rebuilding situation. It's not like Aaron Rodgers was sitting out there on the open market. Flacco isn't really in the class of a Manning, Brees or Rodgers, but he is pretty damn good in the clutch, especially in the playoffs.

I don't feel any player is worth THAT kind of money...darn sure not Flacco

That's a pretty relative thing. Of course, no player is worth that kind of money in term of their value to society. However, there are athletes that do deserve that kind of money in relation to how much money those athletes generate for their organizations. Lebron James makes a pretty obscene $17+ million a year from the Miami Heat. I guarantee you that he generates a hell of a lot more money for that organization than that. In that regard he is underpaid. By comparison, baseball and football players don't have as much of an impact on their teams as NBA players do. Although a great quarterback is close, if the defense sucks and he has nobody to throw it to or no running game to keep the defense honest, his impact is greatly limited.

Of course, if these guys weren't paid these rediculous salaries, then people could afford to go to these games. But, people will pay it, so they will charge it.
