I felt I should be the one to start this.
LET'S GO!!
LET'S GO!!
It was a wrap after Gateway, imo.I don't think we've seen a race this dominant by a championship 4 driver since they started this format. Yet every minute was anxiety filled for me lol I couldn't help but think "what's going to go wrong?" .. but it never did.. it went absolutely perfectly!
I've never seen him show that type of confidence before. It wasn't a matter of whether not they could do it.. he absolutely knew they could. It was a matter of execution. That was the only ingredient left and they pulled that off better than anyone ever has. He was ahead of the other 3 for every green flag except 1 and that's only because a yellow came out when Chase had a nose out about 2 feet ahead for a few seconds. It was a wrap after Gateway, imo.
But honestly, JoLos confidence throughout the week was palpable. Talked all week long.
It's one thing to talk up a big game if you've never been there before. But for a team to have been there 5x, win it once, and have 30 wins in their pocket, you kind of *know* when you have a car capable of winning.
At the end of the day, this is, by far, the most expeirenced driver, and team in the final 4, and knows what championship execution looks like. Whatever the team had prepped for Phoenix instilled a lot of confidence in Joey.
Backed up all that talk with a pole run, and that was it. I don't think anyone REALLY had any doubts about how this was going to go.

He also had a great chance in 2020.. leading with 40 or so to go and some random issue they never figured out to this day took them out of it.He probably would've had 3 by now if not for that little misunderstanding with Matt Kenseth was it 2015? He is a badass behind the wheel for sure. I doubt this is the last one he wins.
I feel like that incident caused a shift in philosophy at Penske. It's paying off.He probably would've had 3 by now if not for that little misunderstanding with Matt Kenseth was it 2015? He is a badass behind the wheel for sure. I doubt this is the last one he wins.
That's do nascarHe also had a great chance in 2020.. leading with 40 or so to go and some random issue they never figured out to this day took them out of it.
Then there's the broken jack in 2014 and the Carl incident in 2016.
Honestly there's a reasonable argument for why he should have 6 by now lol
This is kind of a ridiculous take tbh. LolHe also had a great chance in 2020.. leading with 40 or so to go and some random issue they never figured out to this day took them out of it.

Really? Because something very similar came straight out of Loganos mouth earlier in the week. He said 4 though and I'm also including yesterday, which he clearly didn't lolThis is kind of a ridiculous take tbh. Lol

Its true, he could have been. He was def the best driver in 2015 and had the fastest car. I would easily chalk that one up. The problem is, in this format, anything can happen in that final race. You have to be good, and then hope nothing goes wrong at the same time.
Bottom line, no matter what though, Joey has lived up to the hype that surrounded him at age 15-16 with the comments from Mark Martin.
Direct quite from Logano after yesterday's race.. when asked about how it feels to be a 2x champion.
"You know, it's awesome to hear it. I guess the greed in me feels like I should have 4 or 5 at the moment"
I want to be clear.. I'm very aware most of those other ones were far from guaranteed if he had not had issues.
2020 he was gonna drive away and they still don't know what went wrong with the car. Without a broken jack he comes out in the top 4 late in 2014. 2015 we all know what happened.. but who knows if he would have won it all or not. The incident with Carl.. I'm confident tobsay that without them wrecking he drives off to win that championship over JJ.
It's really not that ridiculous to say that if a few things happened differently he could have just captured his 5th or 6th title yesterday. Not that it matters, we learn from mistakes and move on.. but it's true.
Oh absolutely... and he said something similar.. it is what it is.. it didn't happen.. but it certainly could have.. regardless he's now officially a 2x champion and Im here for it! LolWell we live in the real world here. As Larry McReynolds is so fond to say, "if if's and but's were candies and nuts it'd be Christmas every day" and "you can't spell Roll Tide without two L's"
Congratulations all around!I felt I should be the one to start this.
LET'S GO!!
I agree with you 100%. If certain things had gone differently, we could be talking about 4–5-time champ. It is what it is. Still, two championships at age 32 is mighty impressive. He's going to move up in the all-time ranks pretty quickly these next few years if he keeps it up.I want to be clear here.. I'm not saying I think he should have 5 or 6.. My initial response was to someone saying he could have 3 if 2015 went differently and I'm just saying that if a few other things also went differently 2015 isn't then only one he missed out on.
2 and 9 were both quite a bit faster than Joey over the long run in 2020. The 2015 I get, but he put himself in that situation. Hindsight is 20/20.Direct quite from Logano after yesterday's race.. when asked about how it feels to be a 2x champion.

He caught Chase, had a better stop, was a second ahead, and got a vibration in 2020.. they still don't know what happened but without that happening that was his title.2 and 9 were both quite a bit faster than Joey over the long run in 2020. Carl Edwards should be a 3x champion. Jimmie Johnson should be a 9x champion when cleaning up 2004 and 2012 mistakes. Hamlin should be a champion. Matt Kenseth could have been a 2x champion, and even said himself he could have won 4 without JJ.
Just because a driver says it, and is confident, doesn't necessarily make it true.
The only championship Joey REALLY should have won that be didn't was 2015. I'll agree that he should have 3.
But not 4, 5 or 6 lol

And if Brad's pit crew didn't cost him spots every stop, it was his title. Brad was the fastest car all race and spent all race running those guys down after losing track position. He caught Chase, had a better stop, was a second ahead, and got a vibration in 2020.. they still don't know what happened but without that happening that was his title.
..but like I said my response was to someone saying he "could" have 3.. and aim saying if we're talking about "could" its more than that.
