If they froze the field on the final caution then why was Stewart placed in 27? It looked to me like the caution came out on the Biffle/Sauter wreck before that B.S. with Stewart happened. I watched the replay and noticed that Stewart was in the top 10 or so when the caution came out. Is there something I'm missing?

kam, the same thing happened in a similar way last fall when Jr was taken out.

It has to do with being able to maintain the speed under caution. It looked to me as if Tony's car was so badly damaged he couldn't finish the laps at caution speed.

He was unable to continue the race. So those who were still running went ahead of him. It's been that way for a long time.

TRL beat me to it. But yeah what she said.

Never mind. I just looked at the results and Stewart, Biffle and Sauter were on lap 190. Thanks for clearing that up. I'll start paying attention one of these days.

No. He finished ahead of Biffle and Sauter who were on the same lap, 190. The others were credited with 192 laps.
