I really think this years rookie class will be heralded as one of the deepest and best. Where do you see them in 2 years? How successful do you think they will be? Do you think they will be with the same team in 2 years?

Kasey Kahne -- Will be a top notch driver and will visit victory lane many times with the #9 team.
Brian Vickers - Will develop over time and become a good Cup driver.
Scott Riggs -- In a few months, if nothing improves, he will be job huntin'.
Scott Wimmer -- Will click with Stoddard and win a few races within the next 2 years.
Johnny Sauter -- I like him, but he needs to settle down. RC will mold him, and he will be a top10 driver.
Brendan Gaughan -- Kurt Busch, part 2. Will take a year or so, but will breakout with a few wins.

Kasey Kahne - Maybe 5 or more wins, maybe two or more stops in the Top 10 Standings, going to be one of the best drivers on the circuit.

Brian Vickers - back in the Busch Series, FLOPPED.

Scott Riggs - Maybe a win or two, should help improve the Valvoline Team on their quest to become a championship contending team.

Scott Wimmer - 3 or more wins, maybe one restrictor plate victory, Wimmer and Stoddard should click together.

Johnny Sauter - I dont know, maybe a win or two.

Brendan Gaughan - Team that should compete for the top 5 in points and should be hunting for wins race in and race out.

Just yesterday I was thinking of the recent rookie classes. Look back five years and those that have came on the scene since then(1999) have won two titles, 63 wins and 43 poles between them!

As far as this years rookie group?

1. Brendan:Slick-nick said it best. I really feel BG will be the best of this solid group. Give him a year or so, then look out.

2.Scott Wimmer: yet another Wisconsin driver who needs to be taken seriously. He reminds me a little of Kenseth and should be solid if BDR can field a competetive car

3.Kasey Kahne: Impressive so far.....but remember Ray had another impressive young gun named C/Kasey once before who didnt live up to the hype. KK is good but will still have a learning curve like anyone else.

4.Brian Vickers:He will do good but less than expectations. I dont see him around after KB moves up to NC.

5. Scott Riggs is my favorite of the group and is better than this ride indicates. Would like to see him with Yates or Roush eventually. :p

6. Johnny Sauter---I don't see much there but some folks do. A little rough around the edges.

Kahne - has the potential to be the next Tony Stewart, time will tell.

Riggs - has the potential to be the next John Andretti. It's important to remember that next year, there will be another rookie class. Produce or begone.

Wimmer - all the talent in the world, but not the sharpest tool in the shed. He better start dazzling pretty quick I think.

Vickers - Over rated.

Gaughan - this jury is still out on him.

Sauter - doing five to ten years in a medium security penal institution.

I'm not sure where Sauter will be in 2 years, but I'm sure "I'm tellin' you man, I was a NASCAR driver" will be added to his 4-letter word dominated vocabulary in the near future. ;)

Kahne- ROTY Champ- Championship.. alot of wins
Vickers- Top 5 Driver and few wins..
Riggs- Cant Tell.. Job Huntin
Wimmer- Jail Cell or Suspension
Gaguhen- Part 2 of Busch

I called Madam Cleo, she wanted my credit card number  ...a say at least three of the rookie class will be running trucks or Busch and one will be out of racing all togther.

Actually: "I'm tellin' you man, I was a @#$%$# NASCAR driver."

97........... come on man. There is absolutly NO comparason between these 2 Kasey/casey. :D

Kahne has a very mature attitude, the other acted like a 6th grader in the Cup series.

That is true...of the two Kasey is much more composed than Atwood seemed to be. :) One point though, Kahne IS 4 years older than Atwood was at the time.

Gaughan - Late bloomer. He'll have a little success early on but his 2nd or 3rd season he should break out big. I expect for him to be competing for top 10 finishes in points.

Kahne - Solid. Top 15 points contender. He strikes me as a Jimmie Johnson type, smooth and consistent who wont get into too much trouble on the track.

Wimmer - I really think Wimmer is the sleeper in this class. Once the mess he is in is settled I think he can come out and probably surprise with a win or two. Good prospect for the future.

Riggs - Also a great driver. Hard to tell but the #10 probably isnt showcasing Riggs to be as good as he is. But something also tells me he is a Jeff Green type, excellent Busch series driver, ok Cup driver.

Vickers - Hype. Expectations are big because he won the Busch Series championship, but I think more seasoning was due. Im sure he will be a good driver, but I dont think championship caliber material.

Sauter - Needs to settle down a bit. He can drive a race car, thats for sure, but I dont see top 10 written on him, especially with him in the #30 car.
