The 2006 Missouri State Fair will close out on August 20 with the Missouri Sate Championships featuring the O'Reilly WOW 360 Sprints, O'Reilly MLRA late models, and the modified divisions competing on the Historic 1/2 Mile.
"We're real excited to be able to put together a single show with the three premier classes on the track in the same night," commented director of competition Clint Brown. "The fair race has always been something special and for that reason we wanted to offer something different, something that you can't go just anywhere to see."
The Modifieds and the O'Reilly WOW 360 Sprints were a part of the racing action during the 2005 fair and will be joined by the O'Reilly MLRA Super Late Models making their return to the facility for the first time since th 2000 racing season. "When we were approached about being a part of the fair race we immediately knew that this was something we definitely wanted to be a part of," stated O'Reilly MLRA promoter Harriett Chancellor. "Joining the modifieds and the O'Reilly WOW 360 Sprints will be great and I know that all three divisions will put on a show for everybody to remember."
Several of the regions top drivers are expected to make their way to Sedalia to help close out the 2006 Missouri State Fair and add their name to the exclusive list of Missouri State Champions.
Grandstand admission is set at only $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for Seniors & Military, $10.00 for kids 7-12 while those 6 and under are Free. "What we really wanted to do was be able to offer a great show with great classes at a price for families to be able to come out and enjoy themselves," added Brown. Pit passes for the night will be available for only $25.00.
