A small excerpt of what to expect:
looks fun.
"Probably the most recognizable of our programs has been the "Race the Truck" commercial campaign," Guilbert explained. "You will recall that last year, after five years of pleading, Dale Jarrett finally agreed to race the truck. Well, we couldn't let Dale race just any UPS truck. So, just like the race teams spend the off season building new cars, we spent the off-season souping up Dale's truck."
After a complete overhaul to the engine and other faucets of the chassis, the beloved package car is going through its paces at the race track. The particular commercial that UPS showcased to the media featured Jarrett and his teammate Elliott Sadler with Sadler getting behind the wheel of the truck and performing a burnout.
"Each and every year they come up with something different and this year having Elliott be a part of it, obviously, was a lot of fun," Jarrett said. "The tires that he wore out in making the commercial was pretty amazing. The guys that actually did all the work on the truck were from Arizona, and they rebuilt this truck. I actually drove this truck when we did these commercials over at Nashville and it was pretty incredible.
"They've still got a little work to do aero-wise on it," Jarrett added. "It's not nearly as slick as that nice Fusion sitting over there, but we'll keep working on that. So I'm looking forward to that day when I actually get to race the truck."
looks fun.
