no track should have 2 dates. sorry maj, but texas should not have 2 dates. i would rather see 2 races on 2 diff tracks then 2 races on the same track, that just makes it borring.

i'd like to see Vegas get a fall date, i beleive they will due to the simple fact that the track is getting re-configured plus it sells out all the time. This is a huge market area and will get another race very soon.

I sure would love to see Road Atlanta get a Road Race. I'ts an awesome track and I love Road Racing almost as much as Short Tracks. Watkins Glen is my fave right now.

I sure wouldn't complain if there were only 2 Restrictor Plate races per year, 1 at Daytona and 1 at Talladega.

I would like to see atleast 1 more Road Course. They should change the start of the season back to Rockingham (droping California to 1 race) the week after Daytona, and then off to Mexico City, Las Vegas and then a week off. They should also swap Darlington back to Labor Day weekend as a night race. One last thing I would like to see is either Atlanta or Texas getting a date dropped for Nashville SuperSpeedway, a more unique track being a 1.3 mile concrete oval.

I'm sorry Lappy, but could you please explain why you singled out in just naming Texas? Daytona, Talladega, Lowes, Atlanta, California, Richmond, Dover, New Hampshire, Pocono (races are 6 weeks apart), Michigan, Martinsville, Bristol all have two races a year. There are some in my opinion that only need one race, and some even in my opinion don't even need the one. And, lappy, you have stated on numerous occasions that one of your favorite tracks is Talladega with 2 races.

I think 1 track per state would be fine. More people would be able to see the races, instead of fantasing about going. But, then you have the arguement could tracks keep up with the improvements with only one date... Do they get enough income from other events held there. Either way it wouldn't be an easy decision.

Take away a race from Talladega and replace it with a road race. Take away a race at Fontana and give it to Rockingham.

Loudon, Pocono, and California only need one date. If California keeps two, their first date needs to be moved away from the Vegas date. People in southern California would rather go to Vegas.

Isn't NYC getting a track for Sprint Cup races for 2007?

I know i have said they dega needs two dates, but after thinking a little more about it, i really dont see any track needing to dates. I really think KY needs a date, but its not like i would go all the time. (ky is like 5 hours from me and dega is 6) so its not really an advange for ky to get a race so i can go to an event. If they had more stands Nashville would make a very good track for a cup race, i went to the ARCA/Truck race there in 04 and loved it.

Plus Texas is just like KY, MIS, Cal, Vagas, Lowes, Atlanta they all are almost the same, so it would make more sence to attract new fans by giving the "cookie" cutter tracks one race and add more to the shedule. and since there is no orther track like dega thats why i said it should get 2 dates.

I voted for another road course race and an international because Mosport (road course) is the only track that could handle a Cup race in Canada.
