ARCA has a nice schedule. Especially after adding Rockingham. They also have 2 dirt tracks and a road track on next year's schedule.

The Cup teams will be having a fire sale on the cars of yesterday and the ARCA teams will be the beneficiary. Look for more teams to be competing in ARCA in future years. Perhaps ARCA will also be adding the fans that are leaving Nascar in droves.

CAROLINA 500...

... Long race at the Rock. They know that race is gonna be huge, especially if Cuppers decide to run that race.

Can cuppers run Arca?
yup. except kinda hard with no companion events other than pocono.

rockingham is probably the most expensive race on that list next to the road course and dirt tracks- 500 mile for some of those smaller teams with the kind of tire wear rockingham has? ouch.

It's 500k, 312 miles. 50 cars, The Rock has 61 pit boxes. The race is on a Sunday, the day AFTER NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing at Richmond, so it has potential to draw Cuppers. Plus, it'll be a good way to use their old COYs.

arca runs 50 cars? I thought they ran 43, same as cup?

312 laps is still a good bit for the ARCA series (1 mile lap, right?) at that place for tires. Plus Hoosier has to do a tire test too and probably show up with a tire that's 85% kevlar 15% carbon fiber to withstand the place, as im sure it's gotten worse in 5 years.

You might ought to add a Michigan, a Taladega, a Atlanta to that list

I thought they repaved Rockingham not to long ago. :idunnno:

If not, that track's gonna eat those tires alive. All 50 cars will be in for tires every 20 laps.

I can't wait for the ARCA race...

... Rockingham really seperates the grown men from the little boys.

I wonder if Mark will run it. He was so good there in the 1990s. Eli Gold always called it "Markingham" after a while.

It was the Kyle Petty show for awhile.

Rockingham is where Mark got his first win.

Johnny Benson was really good there in Cup, maybe he'll run.

I'd go to that race if it wasn't on the same weekend as Richmond. :bounce:

Rockingham's a long drive, but a short fly.

just checked wiki, no mention of a repave.

als, didnt know the rock had a backstraight pit road.

I never thought Rockingham was that great. I was there 3 times and the races were boring all 3 times. Agreed it has history which I hate to lose but it is a boring track.
