The official report was that there was not enough corporate support or sponsorship to make it economically feasible.

Its sad really. I hate to see such things happen.

IT SUCKS! I've been going to the USAC, CART, IRL races in Phoenix since moving here in 1967. I remember seeing the STP tubines out here. Shoot for the matter I remember when we had the first and last races of the season here. Ah the good ole days.
