Here's what ARCA is telling me.

TV - depends on sponsors but SPEED is contractally obligated to air, at minimum, 10 races.

Schedule - Almost finalized, will be released at Rockingham.

Title sponsor - Nothing signed yet.

I hope there are some big changes to the schedule, that always makes it more interesting. ARCA has been pretty good about changing up the tracks the past few years. I wouldn't be suprized to see them go to Delaware Speedway, they already have an existing relationship(through the ARCA trucks), and I think ARCA liked to be able to say the race in a foreign country.

Well, we know the Pocono races, per this announcement from Pocono Raceway today: http://www.poconoraceway.com/NEWS-2009_09_15.asp I guess the major news there is a NASCAR truck race in August.

I see a new icon here, I just figured I'd use it. :windows:

The Camping World truck series 125, I'm suprized they are having the trucks run a shorter race than the ARCA 200.

You have a point there. I wonder if you'll be able to buy ARCA and Camping World seperately? I'd think about going for ARCA and Camping World, and not go on Sunday. I'm such a dweeb.

Hey, I'd like to address Title Sponsor, as mentioned by AML. Re-Max is not out of freaking money. They are the title sponsor for NFL broadcasts on Westwood One Radio this year. I don't remember who it was last year or in previous years, but I'm sure it wasn't Re-Max. I'm betting Menards, and they probably broke off Re-Max to do it.

I don't think they will be sold seperately, any other time ARCA races the same day as Nationwide, Trucks or the Budweiser shootout it is one ticket for the whole day. It would be too much of a pain for the track to try to kick everyone out of the track after the first race to make sure they have a ticket for the second race.

Re/Max didn't leave because they were out of money. From what my people tell me, they left because they're not happy with the direction the series is headed in.

Thats a bunch of BS. The series is getting better than ever, they have way more competitive full times teams than they have had for a long time. The points have actually been interesting the last couple years. Before that Kimmel pretty much had it locked in by this time in the season every year. I don't believe that excuse.

In 2001, you could also see every race on either TNT or Speedvision. ESPN used to air ARCA. TNN used to air ARCA. What happened to those days?

I agree that the racing has gotten much better (with the exception of this year), but I don't know about the sanctioning body.

Either way, Re/Max didn't pull out because of the economy.

The racing this year is still better than it was in like 2004 and 2005. Just because the same 2 guys are winning all of the races doesn't make the racing is bad.

True. But they and ARCA said they did. :D I'm sure that press release is still buried somewhere on the ARCA website. And I certainly believed them; made sense with real estate and the economy.

I tell you man, it's just the day of the announcement, but I'm sold on an ARCA/Camping World double header, and blowing off the Sunday Cup race. Who needs the 5 hour race and the trafffic?
