2010 Pocono II - 50 Laps

I just noticed the 2nd Pocono race, which features the ARCA/NASCAR Trucks doubleheader, is only 50 laps/125 miles. As is the truck race. C'mon Pocono, it's July, it stays light until after 8:00 PM!

On the bright side, only $20 bucks for a ticket, the same price Pocono charges for the 200 mile ARCA races. I'm definitely going, will probably even buy the tix in the next couple of days.
 
Now all they need to do is shorten the cup race. 500 miles is way too much for a track like Pocono. I warn you if you have never been there, the caution periods are brutal. It takes so long for them to go around there at caution speed.

Oh yeah, been there for the Cup races, and they are brutal. They definitely should shorten them. Then on top of the 4 hours minimum for the race, there's the 80,000 spectator traffic getting out of there. :D

I was just used to the 200 mile ARCA races, which they usually still pull off in 2 hours flat. I'm figuring 1.5 hours max for these 125 mile races, even on a bad day.

Yeah, I thought the length of the ARCA races was pretty good. Even though they are a little too short i'm sure ARCA and the trucks will put on a great show.
