Some big surprises, real big surprises. Wisconsin added to the schedule, Toledo reclaims the season finale and Rockingham is off the ARCA schedule. All I can say is, WOW!!! ARCA sure keeps it interesting!

New Jersey in May, that's an interesting move as well.

I kind of saw it coming but I'm in pure shock Rockingham is off the schedule.

So we can assume the televised races are: Daytona, Talladega, Chicago, Pocono I, Michigan, Iowa, IRP, Pocono II, Kansas and Toledo in October.

I don't like that two month gap between Daytona and Talladega. Would it really have killed ARCA to add a race or two in March?

I know it's a companion event, but I wish that Michigan date would just go away. It's consistently one of the worst races in all of motorsports, and extremely costly for the teams (attrition on engines).

I'm just sad that The Rock doesn't have a race anymore. I mean what is with this track? First they lose NASCAR, and now ARCA.

Madison was unexpected but cool. I always wanted to go there when Hooters Procup ran there. I'm a little disappointed that they are down to only 19 races. They had 23 only a few years ago

They might regret that New Jersey date, its one week after the NASCAR weekend at Dover.

I'm being told ARCA is trying to secure one or two more dates that would be announced later. They just wanted to get this schedule out before the banquet.

I don't know which tracks though.

I hope so, ARCA doesn't seem to change their schedule after releasing it(except when tracks cancel on them), but under 20 races sucks.

The nine companion events and Toledo will air live or Same-Day Delay on SPEED. BAS Racing Network will have live audio coverage of every race.

The IRP ARCA race will be 150 laps (don't understand this since the IRP races go by quick). The rest are 150 miles or 200 laps/miles with exception to Talladega which is 250 miles, Pocono in Summer (125 miles) and the dirt tracks (100 miles each).

One more quick tidbit, RE/MAX is officially out as a sponsor in the ARCA Racing Series. Shame.

19 races, unable to secure a title sponsor for the second straight year and a mass exodus of sponsors at the end of the 2011 season. I hope we have an ARCA next year... if we do, it's gonna be because BIG changes are made inside the organization. The current crop, especially in PR and marketing, just aren't getting the job done.

Keep seeing some team announcements on ARCA's site. Also found this one http://www.whowon.com/sresults.asp?SanctionID=189&StoryID=301363 . She is from Quebec, ran 2 Canadian Tire road races(and was really awful). Have you heard of anyone else running the full schedule? Also, Does anyone know if Frank Kimmel is confirmed to have Menards/Ansell back for next year? I guess we will know better after the testing days at Daytona.
