The playoffs should be interesting this year.
It looks like the Rangers, Tigers, Red Sox and Yankees in the AL and the Phillies, Braves, Brewers and Diamondbacks in the NL.
The AL is kind of hard to call as all of those teams have some great qualities and some weaknesses as well. The biggest weakness of all of those has to be the Red Sox pitching, particularly their starters. The Tigers are really hot right now, but after Verlander they don't have much starting pitching either.
The NL is kinda tough to call as well. The Phillies obviously have the best starting pitching in baseball, but their offense really struggles to score runs at some strange times.
I'd have to say that, at this point, I like the Rangers vs. the Phillies in the World Series. I have to admit bias here though as I am a huge Josh Hamilton fan (and therefore a huge Rangers fan as well). The Rangers can flat out hit and their pitching is pretty good as well.
