This thread will close @ 1:00pm Sunday, September 30, 2012 and everyone's last picks will be locked in for the week. Your picks must be made by that time in order to receive points for the week. Yes, you can change your picks if you like up until the thread is closed. There is no limit but please don't abuse it. If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to ask in one of these threads or PM me.

Label each pick as your Best & Worst.

Best - Driver A
Worst - Driver B

My picks.

Best - Jimmie Johnson
Worst - Kevin Harvick

Since there seems to be a little confusion of how scoring works here's the info again.

Scoring is based on NASCAR's point system.

Your pick for the best driver will simply receive the points awarded by NASCAR.

Your pick for the worst driver will receive the difference in points between the winner of the race and your picks actual race points.

If you don't understand please PM me or post here and maybe I can somehow explain it differently.

Would it help all of you if I post the drivers points each week along with the forum members picks/results?

Example of Loudon Driver points.....

Let me know.

dpk, do you think it would be wise to indicate a time zone for that 1:00 pm deadline? It's likely only a matter of time if you don't ;)

Easy enough. Done.

The time that I post is always based on the eastern time zone.

For some reason, it is not letting me edit my original post. There is something intermittent about that this morning that I've been noticing.

The option for editing a post is removed after 2 minutes. I noticed it Saturday afternoon/evening. Fender had suggested that keeping the edit option open indefinitely uses resources and can possibly be a secuity issue and I agree with him.

It also stops people from changes their posts in an attempt to win one of those podium, feces slinging contests.

Okay, got it. I wasn't on much over the weekend. I didn't notice until this morning.

Best: Jeff Gordon
Worst: Kevin Harvick

Protip: This is a good track for Gordon he has finished in the top 20 in every one of the last five Dover events and as high as eleventh in one of those five races.

Hmmm, Interesting concepts............

If you recall, Jeff had the best car at the Dover spring race but was hampered by a loose wheel.

Yup, I know about that. I'm considering changing best driver for this week back to Jeff. My reason for not picking him is I have a list of average finishes for each of the chase drivers at each track, and I am picking him for the races where he ranks among the best chase drivers for that race (because I plan on picking different drivers on different weeks). His average finishing position compared to the other chase drivers at Dover is not as good as the other races I plan to go with him for. That probably includes his bad finish there in June, though.

Bestest's - Johnsons
Sorriest's- Stewarts

Best: KyBu
Worst: Dale
