First scheme will be driven by Martin, the second by Waltrip.

So....if two drivers are taking turn driving the same car....how do they do the driver points?

Driver points decide the championship, owner points set the top 35. A driver can drive for as many teams as he wants and still win the drivers championship.

Ok, but what I'm asking is, do Mark Martin & Waltrip only get driver points for the race that they're driving the car, or do they both get driver points regardless of who's driving the car?

Mark gets drivers points for the races he runs and Waltrip gets drivers points for the races he crashes in.

only the races they race they will get driver points.

I mean this, sincerely, as a life long Mark Martin fan. It's almost time to hang it up. He should've gone and raced for Kyle in Nationwide and Trucks for a few years.

I would just hate to see Mark out there in 40th place each week like Jaws and the Labonte brothers. It's not like MWR is known for their awesome equipment and 5 wins a seasons.

I'm with you there...

Yea, I'd have to agree. It's time for Mark Martin to hang up his helmet and bow out gracefully. I mean he doesn't want to become a joke like Brett Favre is, does he?

or another DW

SpeedPagen, as a side note check out my thread in sports

Why did they want his sorry azz

Need to fire him and go after Busch

I bet Aarons is kicking themselves in the ass right now. They are the ones who fired Rueti for the Martin/Dumbtrip combo. I am sure if they could do it all over again they'd still fire Reuti, but go with Busch instead. **** Aarons, and **** Michael Waltrip.

I'm glad you posted the schemes. I will now know what to look for as they pull them into the garage at lap 10.

Cant wait to see Mikey win another plate race! Man that'll wipe a few smiles from some faces. :D

Speedy, a driver gets points for a race in which he starts the race and runs at least one lap. In that scenario, the substitute driver doesn't receive any point. however, the owner gets owner points every time that vehicle is run, regardless of who is behind the wheel. But what if Mark starts the race and gets sick about half way and then big Mike squeezes in and takes over for the rest of the race. Mark gets the points and not Mikey. Good golly, can you just imagine Mike trying to get into Marks car? If he could get in, he just might need a can opener to get out.

Having his head stick out of the roof may help Mikey see and actually avoid some accidents.

So if you wrote an article for a media outlet about MWR would you use that same description? Just wondering, because I thought journalists were supposed to be unbiased. ;)

No, but if I wrote an article about you, I'd call you an a**hole.

Does that work for you?
