What's everyone else's plans for 2012?

So far, I've got Potomac dirt every week with some Hagerstown, VMS and Winchester thrown in. Looking at NASCAR in Dover, ARCA in NJ, NASCAR in Rockingham and a couple other asphalt races and drag races.

Season starts either March 3rd at Southern National or March 10th at South Boston.

Bowman Gray Stadium every Saturday after they open in April. Might do a few touring modified races in the area and if we get those free tickets again to Charlotte.

More trips to the Ct tracks, Waterford, Stafford and of course Thompson. Like several other local fans that I know I'm crossing Seekonk off my list. It's a shame but not only do they treat the racers like krap it now extends to the fans in the stands. Hate to pay good money to be abused....

My plans this year are the
Nascar Auto Club 400 in Fontana Ca
Indy 500
ASCS Sprint Car Shoot Out in Baytown Tx
hopefully a couple World of Outlaws Sprint Car Races
a few Steet Legal Drag Races
all 23 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Races.

I got this to go to this weekend.

Only thing I got so far this year but wouldn't mind going to one of the Atlanta Night Races

too see that better

Going to Chase Field on Sat. to see the MonsterJam show featuring Grave Digger's 30 year celebration. Hopefully something spectacular will happen that would be worthy of Youtube.

Cup race here in Phx in March (and November).

Sprinkle in a few dates @ Canyon Speedway for some dirt track action.

Early schedule, set to change and grow. With camera in tow.

Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of each other next year.

Well, we're sending someone else to cover the dragstrip so my 2012 schedule is starting to look a little dirtier... which is fine by me.

I would love to get out to that Indy Baltimore Grand Prix Andy.

We've got three Cup races on the schedule so far, (Bristol/Spring/Fall & Martinsville), and several Friday nights @ Lernerville Speedway. We hope to add two more Cup weekends if possible.

And they hand them out for free. No worries here. I'm up for the challenge.
The only positive to a Martinsville hot dog is that it means you're at the only good track left in NASCAR (until Brian France "reconfigures" it or sends its dates to some godforsaken place in the west coast).

I dunno Andy..I never heard one person in the whole garage area...teams, media, anyone, complain about he hotdogs. I actually hear of hotdog eating contests between teams
We had a hotdog eating contest as well. I finished next to last because I only ate 7 (they ARE cheap).

Don't count on it.
I believe that TUMS has pulled their advertising out of Nascar.

Not good. Although..... I bet if I looked in my scanner bag, I could probably find several sample of last fall's supply of free Tums packs. ;)

True enough. And those team members are lined up at the garage area concession stand for those things as the fans are throughout the track.

7? You must have a 'death wish'! I grab a couple on a given weekend because it has become a tradition but 7?

What is really kind cool about Martinsville is that it feels like you are stepping back in time at that track. We sit in the South Terrace, turns 1&2, with a great view of the track and the race out of the pits. We've moved all around the track but this is by far our favorite location. And, I don't know if this is just a South Terrace thing but during caution flags they have girls that will take your order for food. They deliver right to your seat. Very cool service IMO. They don't deliver adult beverages but that's OK, I lug my own. If any of you haven't been there for a Cup weekend, get you butt there in October for the Chase race. You won't be disappointed. Just limit yourself on those dogs.
