2013 Sprint Cup Ford Fusion Photos Leaked

Anyone else see the new pictures of the 2013 design? looks pretty cool, i was taken aback at first and thought "oh no" but after seeing more pictures it has grown on me... see them at the link in my signature or just google them

The picture from the side kinda reminds me of the profile that the dodge charger had when they first brought it out.
 
The grill design makes the car look like a Aston Martin.It is a great looking car!

And until I see them together on the track racing, Im not going to pass judgement.

I just keep in mind the cynical nature of most NASCAR fans, they will find a way to hate it.

I'll hold my breath, as far as sedans go Ford and Dodge are always trying to make stuff that appeals to the public while Chevy sits back and keeps reproducing the same bland **** over and over. It annoys the hell out of me because I'm a Chevy fan.

That's right! It's the Dodge and the Chevy cars that are built North of our border, while the Ford speaks Spanish at birth...

That's what I was thinking..... would be awesome though if all four makes were actually very different in 2013 in their final body configurations.

One or two makes would have a significant advantage in the downforce catagory. It would make the races look lopsided compared to the previous seasons of the COT I thinks.

Well if Nascar would let them tinker more they could recover the disadvantages in other ways. It will never happen it will be more of the same, but hopefully the bumpers won't match up so at least we won't get Trains at the plate tracks.
 
Really? If one manufacturer came out with a truly inovative design that made the car go faster , the other manufacturers would'nt have it added by the next race?

Look back at the 80s, the cars were different, but those body designs were set at the begining of the season. They were able to tinker more with the suspenion packages than today. I just think that each make should be different, the teams should be able to adjust more on shocks-suspension area and on spoiler angle to a point. Of course one make will always complain about the other having an advantage, but I think that is fun of, it brings creativity and inovation back in.

I agree with you 100% just don't see it ever happening again.Nascar could never let one make run away with a season.
 
Didn't Bill E dominate with that "new" Ford T-Bird design in the 80's? If that's true, then we would have the same deal on our hands now, a race car dictating the form of the production car to make the race car faster. Snow plow for the front clip, right?
 
Heh, if Bill could do that again , likely he would take most popular driver back from Junior.:rolleyes:
