What cars do you like that are coming out in the next year under $40k?

I currently have my eye on a sweet little sea mist green Windstar that my sister just replaced with a 2006 Cargo van of some sort. She replaced the Windstar because she was told the sub frame was rotting and was causing the front tires to wear irregularly. Depending on what else is wrong with it and how much I can get it welded for, I might take it off of her hands. I don't know yet.

Didn't they have a huge recall on the Windstar for that?

I'm seriously considering buying a 2014 Jeep Wrangler in the coming months to replace my 10 y/o truck.

Just ordered a 2014 Jeep Rubicon X last night. Our first venture into the Jeep world. Can't wait!
Right on. I don't think I'll be going that far up the trim line but congrats to you.

The last Jeep I owned was a 2003 Grand Cherokee Rocky Mountain (Freedom Edition in the US) and before that, a '78 CJ5. There was some serious fun had with that :)

Please keep me updated on your impressions of Rubicon.

One word of caution - which you're likely already aware of, Wranglers still use a straight front axel but there's talk of doing away with it in 2016.

My wife has wanted a jeep for a long, long time. We are way beyond due for an upgraded vehicle so I figured the time is right.

It is to take 4-6 weeks for the build. They couldn't find one anywhere near where we live so it will be coming fresh off the truck from the factory. Apparently they send out updates via email these days as to where it is at in the assembly process. That's kinda cool. I've never ordered a vehicle before. We've always bought off of the lot.

Yeah, I'll let you know what we think of it as time goes on. It looks like we are going to have a lot of fun with it.
