As reported by jayski.....

#51-Justin Allgaier (not announced)
#7-Michael Annett (announced)
#3-Austin Dillon (not announced)
#30-Parker Kligerman (announced)
#42-Kyle Larson (announced)
?#30-Cole Whitt (announced)

It's too bad that these guys can't stand out because of the Cup drivers dropping to the lower series.

Anyhow, the battle should be pretty decent next year. It has been a long time since NASCAR has seen this kind of influx of new talent.

The cup drivers didn't stop me from noticing the amazing talent of Larson, Dillon, Bowman, and a few others in the Nationwide series.:)

Exactly. We see it and so do those that put the next driver in the seat. That argument never held water against the Cup drivers taking part in the Nationwide races.

Dillon
Larson
Allgaier
Annett
Whitt
in that order

Dillon.
Money, team and talent, well two out of three aint bad.
Seriously, I think Larson is the only one to edge him on talent, and I am not even sure about that.

Larson has a lot more experience on Dirt and Austin dumb cowboy hat and all just outdrove him at Eldora.

Dillon. The car makes all the difference. Larson's got much more talent but Dillon's driving an elite racecar.

I like Larson in the 42 next year. Not trying to take anything away from Dillon. He can drive and he's finally figuring out restarts...

I'd love to see PK in some B grade equipment.. like Larson AND Austin Dillon.

Dillon was driving a truck set up by his grandpas Sprint Cup team, not any different then Rowdy or brad driving the 54 or 22 in nationwide. Dillon is good not hatin on him, but larson is on a whole other planet in terms of ability, he has the talent to be the next stewart, Gordon, Johnson and all these drivers have admitted it. Plus the cup cars fit his driving style better than the nationwide cars, much like 6-time. I think larson edges dillon for ROY

Dillon over Larson for the 2014 rookie title. Dillon's beat Larson head to head in Trucks, Nationwide and Cup to date and I see no reason for that to change once they've moved to Cup full time.

Larson hands down, he has a hell of a lot more talent than anyone of the others, Bristol comes to mind when I think of him, ran a great race there. The only thing that will hold him back is if he doesn't get good equipement, but being in the 42 I would think the would get the best there. Until Chase Elliot comes up and hopfully runs the 9 again with a good team, I'm going to be cheering for this kid.

As much as I like Larsons style I just don't see him being consistent enough to overtake Dillon. Nonetheless it's great to see an exciting rookie class.
ROTY is based on only a driver's best 17 results so he'll have a shot.

doubt that unless somehow EGR finds some speed, Childress cars are better than EGR's. Larson doesn't have hardly any experience compared to Dillion either, Dillon has been running the tracks in the trucks and N'wide, Larson is seeing some of the tracks for the first time.

I just can't decide right now. But, it should be pretty interesting that's for sure.

Larson can drive the wheels off that thing, unfortunately he probably will. Dillion wins, he'll get more out of the car when the car ain't real good. Saves equipment, saves tires, moves around the track to help his car handle ect..............

P.S. Larson I like, reminds me of a cup guy that likes M&M's.

I don't know , it's pretty close ,except for Kevin .... Jamie 15th , Menard 17th , Burton 20th ,Juan 21st . I think we will learn a lot about EGR equipment this year. Good or bad.
Great point, building off what your saying I think next season will also tell us a lot about the strength of the 3/29 team. For years they were always the front runner out of the RCR/EGR stable and it was hard to distinguish whether it was due to Harvick or them simply receiving the best resources out of the bunch.

Granted, Bowyer and Burton had some good seasons but as a whole the 29 was the only team making championship runs.

  • way I see it, Jamie is going to run 15th (BTW that is his best finish in three years) unless Larson starts doing something, it might motivate Jamie to run harder if he can, it might be the equipment, Manard will have one of his better years if he runs 17th again, Newman will make the chase, and Dillon will do better than Larson because he has more experience and a faster car. None of the Ganassi cars have finished the season well in years. 8th for Juan in 2009.

More experience should give Dillon an edge by not wrecking as much as Larson. Having the faster car remains to be seen .

I'm going by N'wide, Larson, racing for Turner Scott using Hendrick engines came in 8th for the season. I would say he had a fast car. We all know who won the series in a RCR car. Many here swear up and down that Childress stuff is slower, 2nd tier equipment. I don't, they had a couple of second tier drivers, now IMO they only have one. Dillon beat Larson in N'wide and I don't see Larson finishing better in cup than Dillon his first year. I hope he can find some speed in a Ganassi car. hopefully Chip will step up his program because I think he now has a driver that can get him into the chase. I think Dillon only has to get used to the Gen 6, he knows all the tracks. Larson has to learn both and has McMurray? to use for help.

I'm not sold on either the RCR or EGR programs . I honestly don't think their drivers are as bad as you think . Race teams are like baseball or football programs. They are built from the owner , front office , general manager , hundreds of employees , crew chiefs , crews , etc. . Hendrick as obviously built a program brick by brick to a really high degree of excellence , Gibbs has too . I'm surprised at the Roush program not being rated higher by the odds makers as I am surprised at Stewart Haas being rated so high , ( solely on the strength of it's drivers , I guess .) I think that the driver changes will expose the strengths or weaknesses in the programs. I'm really looking forward to next year .
