2018 Cup Awards Ceremony

You’d think Nascar could have afforded some happy meals or a bucket of chicken eh? Couldn’t they have had some cold cuts and a cash bar? Tough times call for tough measures and when Jim Phelps said everything was on the table evidently he meant off the table too as in silverware and food.
 
Anyone know what channel it's on in Canada? Or if there is a stream site for nbcsn? I've heard we're cant get it and I'm not too happy about it.. Of all the years THIS is the one I don't want to miss!

I think it will be shown tape delayed on W5 with Sandy Rinaldo, Kevin Newman and special guest Jeanne Bekker.

Eh, that thing is never awesome even if your guy wins. I will give you the synopsis right now....Joey thanks ALL of his sponsors, licks Roger Penske's leg, gives the squinty douchey smile and says something cryptic about Martin Truex Jr., gets his ring, and walks away. If this was an event to remember, he would (but he won't) grab his crotch at the end of his speech, and scream, "Merry Christmas bitches!"
 
Brian France, as he contemplates last year's Championship Ring presentation to Martin Truex Jr. and envisions making this year's presentation to Joey Logano even less time consuming . . . .

I watched the show on and off.

The best line I heard was during a taped segment where drivers were "campaigning" for votes for Most Popular Driver.

Ryan Blaney's pitch was "Vote for me, because you know your mother, wife and daughter already have . . . " which he then followed up with a raised eyebrow.
 
I'm fine with Rutledge's silliness but dress appropriately for a formal event (his thing doesn't require plaid).
 
No After the Lap or burnouts on the strip this year during champions week? Kind of odd. I guess we got the burnouts during the playoff weekend, but I always enjoyed the drivers sitting around ragging on each other.
 
Feel terrible for KB and Samantha...no matter what I think about his on the track, it's just racing...this is real life tragedy that will affect them for a terribly long time. Prayers for the Bush family.
 
Condolences to Kyle and Samantha. My wife and I went through a couple of miscarriages and it sucks, my heart goes out to them.
 
Did anyone sneak any food or booze into the festivities seeing Nascar wasn’t providing either?
 
46% and some were wondering what the other drivers got. Probably not a good idea it was suck a land slide I would guess
 
They did a really good job of that this year, very respectful and a moving tribute to the racing family that have moved on.
