I love this race....except when they oil the track on the leader.

Im wondering since we got the Ricky Stenhouse Desperation Demolition Derby earlier this month at Daytona (since it was his only real shot at winning and making the playoffs) will we get the same this week from AJ Almendinger?

your best chance to see something like that will be in the cup race:confused:, I think A.J. will do well in the Xfinity, he has an up front car to drive. GMS 23 car.

I didn't like road courses when I first started following NASCAR but over time I've come to like them. I think the driver has a bigger impact on road courses. There was a time when specialists came in to cover for some drivers with limited skill and many drivers looked like fish out of water. I recall a couple races where the hired gun looked like he was going to win but a timely caution put a stop to that. These days the drivers have the skills for the road courses.

For anyone that's been to the Glen, I'll be getting my ticket tonight, what's the best place to sit?

I'm not going, but I have been to road races. I would try for a place where I could see the track and a monitor close by so I could watch the rest of it I couldn't see.

We sit in the Argetsinger section after turn 1. Love it there it’s very close the the track and you can see pit exit, turn one and through the esses up the hill.

Turn 1 is pretty good too they just put in brand new bleachers however I like to be as close to the track as possible.

Good news for you is there isn’t a bad seat in the house. They have put up a lot of fan vision screens over the years.

There, fixed that for them. Looking forward to him winning the pole and finishing in the 20s.

This is why driver ratings should have a minimum number of starts. I like Suarez but at this point in his career, there's no way he's a better Cup R/C driver at the Glen than Shrub or 'Dinger.
you probably don't know what his finishing position was at Watkins Glenn last year or what he grew up racing on. Those are probably factors. But yeah those two are really good. I would have to say KDB, Truex, maybe Boyer would be my favorites. A.J. is really out car-ed in the Cup, he has a good one in the Xfinity though. Kez is usually good, but this year I think he needs an attitude adjustment. He would be another favorite in Xfinity. For some reason Kyle B isn't running the Xfinity this year, Bell and Preece are.
