Scrutineering begins this Friday and continues through Saturday at the Place de la République. Test day comes Sunday with two three-hour sessions.
The cup holder is a nice addition.Looks like the celebration has begun: https://racer.com/2025/06/06/porsche-reveals-road-going-963
While agree on the black, I think the random white blotches make it equally challenging to see the red car's shape.Funny, the black Toyota sort of looks like a blob, but the red really shows off the car's lines.
It's their money but I would prefer a solid red without the blotches. While agree on the black, I think the random white blotches make it equally challenging to see the red car's shape.
It comes from the GT-One so it’s not an exact 1:1 match considering the difference in body styles. Still, imo, their best livery since Toyota came back to sports cars in 2012.It's their money but I would prefer a solid red without the blotches.
Motor Trend? Awesome. I've got that on my basic cable! Thanks! All sessions streamed on Max, race broadcast also on the MotorTrend TV network.
I didn't know Genesis is a Hyundai brand.I didn't know Genesis was into racing. The best car I've ever owned was a used 2011 Hyundai Genesis with the 4.6L V8 - drove it 11 years.
They’re pretty much just getting into it now, they’re joining Hypercar/GTP over the next two years and have the show car variant on display.I didn't know Genesis was into racing. The best car I've ever owned was a used 2011 Hyundai Genesis with the 4.6L V8 - drove it 11 years.
They basically did the same thing Dodge did with Ram and spun a model off as a make.I didn't know Genesis is a Hyundai brand.
I get about as excited, if not more, for Le Mans now as I do Daytona, and that’s as someone who attends Daytona each year. I haven’t really been able to say that since ~ 2014-2016. It’s hard not to look forward to 21 Hypercars leading the field to green on Saturday. About the only thing it’s missing is a pro GT class, which is an obvious strength of IMSA.I figured out why I get so enthused about Daytona but can't muster much interest in Le Mans. Daytona is in late January, when there's been no racing for months, it's usually too cold for me to be interested in leaving the house, and there's little else on TV I'm interested in watching. Le Mans is in June. it's usually favorable to do outdoor things, and the racing series I pay attention to are in the heart of their seasons. This weekend there's NASCAR's return to Mex City and the US Open as the primary draws on my attention.
Peugeot, I'm so concerned about this team lasting another two years.De Vries failing to make Hyperpole and getting outqualified by a Valkyrie wasn’t something anyone expected. Yikes.
Really competitive and entertaining session.
I didn't know about that either. Today has been very educational; no wonder my head hurts. They basically did the same thing Dodge did with Ram and spun a model off as a make.
I don't quite get the business sense behind it, but that's why I teach social studies.I didn't know about that either. Today has been very educational; no wonder my head hurts.
Most of the other big Asian-based manufacturers have a luxury/performance brand that caters mostly to the U.S., i.e. Lexus/Acura/Infiniti. Makes sense to seek alignment with that.I don't quite get the business sense behind it, but that's why I teach social studies.
Alpine have surprised myself and many others, but I think that’s the benefit in going with a known quantity in the ORECA LMDh base chassis. Peugeot haven’t shown much even after they redesigned the 9X8, but I think they were limited by working from such a uniquely flawed design to begin with. Recent reports seem to be Stellantis will grant them an extension and possibly the budget to build an all-new car from the ground up. Sounds promising, but we know how quickly corporate leadership can change their minds. Hopefully it comes to fruition and they can succeed with a less ambitious concept.Peugeot, I'm so concerned about this team lasting another two years.
Alpine has come in and been competitive from the jump. Seeing both Alpines fight for hyperpole and no Puegeots is really concerning.
I agree. I've got an awful lot of racing to watch this weekend!F1 and IndyCar should be off this weekend but I digress.
You’re gonna wanna watch this one afterwards, hopefully they upload it in full to YouTube. This is fantastic drama.Roger has been taking quite the beating lately, but this is not too bad. This was just a case of cutting it too close on the weight, but it's just another brick in the wall of blunders. They got whacked with a grid penalty, but it's a 24 hour race, and they will probably be ok, but you can believe Roger is getting fed up with this sort of thing.
Anyone got a stream for hyperpole?
