No further action. Hamilton didn’t bother to talk to the stewards; Ferrari confirmed there was no contact and Lewis left the track on his own volition.

I figured they would let it slide. They couldn't give him a meaningful penalty anyway because he was a full lap ahead of the next car.

I kind of feared they would let it slide. Max was a full lap ahead of the next car, so any penalty wouldn't have made a difference anyway.

Yeah I saw that quote and began to wonder if it was time to hang the helmet up.
Then after looking at the points, he really isn't in that bad of shape holding on to 6th.
If he was buried down in 10th or worse, it could warrant concern. So I think the proof
in the pudding will be next years car and all the input Lewis gave to Ferrari. Hopefully
he can get a few more podiums next year or even squeak out a win.

Feel bad for Hamilton and Leclerc this weekend. Hope they have a nice vacation and come back refreshed.

I think it’s okay to start coming to terms with the idea of next year being Hamilton’s last season. You’d have to be really delusional to think Ferrari are suddenly going to hit it out of the park with a major regulation change, and Lewis won’t be the type of guy to hang around if he’s not competing for podiums and victories. He’s 40, had an incredible career, and it’s understandable that he’s lost a step at this point.

The bigger issue with them continuing to drop the ball is with ‘Il Predestinato’. If next year’s car is a flop, Leclerc probably starts taking serious looks at going elsewhere in hopes of competing for a title. Because he’s definitively a top 3 driver on the grid and has been, he’s just never gotten the right car underneath him beyond the opening stanza of the ‘22 season.

Yeah I agree with all that. From a few snippets I've gathered this year ,
Lewis was a little surprised how the Ferrari felt to him and not in a good
way. So to me, Lewis is soldering on for this season with the hopes
of improvements for next year. I am sure both LeClerc and Lewis have
both submitted their wants and needs lists to the engineers and are waiting
to see what comes out next year. Its going to be interesting for all the teams
though.
