2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours

I’m glad SRO have kept this an open tire event. The Falken Porsches had great speed, such an unlucky break for the 33 to hit a spun car sitting behind the blind second corner and the 44 has suffered a puncture after hour nine. The Falken team always seem to have such poor luck.

Also really sad to see the 16 Scherer Porsche withdraw after Laurens Vanthoor’s wicked qualifying crash yesterday, glad he’s okay though. That was massive.

The #911 Porsche has been leading the entire time though it has recently come under pressure from the sole GT3 BMW.

The McLaren featuring 67 y/o 1984 DTM Champion Volker Strycek is currently leading the SP8T class.

That was highly unnecessary, this was absolutely the Grello Porsche’s to lose. Wow.

The 98 was the only factory-supported BMW in the field with the manufacturer focusing on the Spa 24 next weekend. Quite the feat.

Hard to believe it’ll also be at least ten years in between victories for Mercedes.

Next year the scheduling has to change so we don’t have this ridiculous stretch of Le Mans/Nurburgring/Spa in three successive weeks. Nonetheless, awesome turnout and quite a competitive race. Sports car racing is at its zenith right now.
