Currently a one-race experiment to encourage more flat-out driving - both the primaries and alternate tires will be required to be run twice during the race, effectively mandating a three-stop strategy for all. The IMS road course is historically a three-stop race anyways, so not sure it’ll make much difference this weekend.

How is RLL awfully slow the entire year only to qualify all their cars in the Top 5 at the IMS road course?
It was the same last year. Graham had a terrible season, yet got pole and finished 2nd at the IMS road course. (might have been 2023 as well)

Qualifying was fun to watch with a couple of different drivers up there and then here comes Palou at the end. I think I threw my hands up and said "Well, of course he got the pole". The guy is unstoppable.

Lundgaard also earned his first pole and first podium in two different outings when he started out with them. They just seem to have a great handle of that layout - too bad they can’t seem to prep their 500 cars as well most years.

Damn, it’s gonna be tough for Graham to even hold onto a podium spot being on the wrong tire for the final stint. Scotty and Pato are charging.
