2025 Spanish Grand Prix

I don't understand what's going on with Tsunoda. He's a decent driver but he and the car just don't seem to jell.

It’s a car thing. It always has been with that second seat since Ricciardo left. I think an element of it is certainly Max’s preferred driving style and setup, but Red Bull in general just can’t seem to put together the complete package. When the Red Bull was an absolute rocket ship, Checo looked fine. But that period of time was mostly limited to the first season and a half of the current regulations. Four different quality, capable drivers have been in that second seat next to Max and been made to look like fools to some degree.

I think the strategy battle between Max and Piastri is going to be closer than they're making it sound. The gap between the leaders has not shrunk yet.

Wtf was the point of that strategy call, really? It’s not like he would’ve finished any worse than 5th if they stayed out on older softs. No **** you’re getting mugged on a restart with hard tires.

Yeah that's what I was thinking they would do in my earlier post. Max would've had something like a 14-20 second lead on older tires.

Wow, thar might have been one of Barcelona's best races ever.

Nice podium for Chuck.

Top 5 for Hülkenberg! DotD for sure.
Finally some points for ole Fernando as well.

10 seconds is a very mild penalty for that.
I think Hulk may have just moved Sauber up two full positions in the WCC.

Charles has been so good this season. Just needs a little bit more car underneath him.

Chuck was my championship favorite heading into this season but unfortunately Ferrari couldn't build on the second half of the 2024 season.
This combination will be here for many more years though and their time will come.

This was a great race. Even before the safety car these cars were racy as hell on a track that has a reputation of creating snoozers. What a difference decent tire wear can make. Removing that stupid chicane obviously helped as well.
Too bad this track will more than likely be gone after next year.

It turns out a two year old hand injury was not the actual reason for Stroll's absence.

Lance is at risk of missing his home GP which would mean Drugovich would get to race that car after all. I kinda hope it happens.

Yeah....hate to say it because I was a big Max fan
in his first few seasons but now he is the villain.
Honestly though I think he just trying to makeup
the car performance gap with errant decisions.

So the stewards concluded that Russell was at fault for the contact at turn 1, and there was no reason at all for Red Bull to call in to Max to let him by. Two fumbles at the end of the race for Red Bull, who are increasingly poor in race execution.
