#24 Team wins 2nd Quarter Most Valuable Pit Crew Award: The #24 Hendrick Motorsports DuPont pit crew has enjoyed a celebration on victory lane four times this season. Now they are adding one more victory to their already established list of accomplishments for the 2007 campaign – the Mechanix Wear 2nd quarter Most Valuable Pit Crew Award. The Mechanix Wear Most Valuable Pit Crew Award is given quarterly throughout the Nextel Cup Season. At the end of each quarter, the winning pit crew is determined by a vote of each team’s crew chief. The four quarterly winners are eligible for the year-end Mechanix Wear Most Valuable Pit Crew Award and a check for $100,000 awarded at the 2007 Nextel Cup Series Awards Banquet in New York City. 2007 Quarterly Winners: 1st - #29 Richard Childress Racing; 2nd - #24 Hendrick Motorsports.
