24 Hours of Pocono

As for Sunday it doesn't look like too nice of a day. And that's bad news for those of you heading to Long Pond for the Pennsylvania 500 in the afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be with us all day as a cold front slowly moves through. That doesn't mean it will be a total washout. There will be dry periods - perhaps for several hours or more. But be ready for the rain drops at just about any time through the day and into the evening. It'll mild and muggy under mostly cloudy skies with temperatures staying in the 70s.

Flood Warning in effect at Long Pond, PA. Futurecast shows rain through the 2pm hour.

If you want to catch some racing today, the USAR Pro Cup Series "Grand Stand 250" from Myrtle Beach will be re-airing at 12pm EST on FSN DirecTV Ch. 668, 670 and 676.

I don't mind the 24 hours of pocono. As long as it finishes as good as the 2009 24 hours of daytona and 2005 12 hours of Pepsi, and not like typical pocono races.

Nothing can top the 24 Hours of Daytona race we had this year. That was incredible stuff. :beerbang:

We were supposed to be covering tomorrow's ceremonies at The White House hosted by the President honoring the stars of NASCAR. Not looking too good.

Guess I'll turn on boring baseball.

From C_Hyde on Twitter:

Best line heard in the Pocono media center: "they'll get the race in today.. right after they pass universal health care"
