Do you agree with the firing of Steve Park, and hiring of Jeff Green? I said, " Kind of...", it isnt the greatest move, but it isnt the worst.

i said no no no...i don't care if he wins every race for the rest of the season.....thumbs way down for hiring green......not that I like it, I can see DEI and park seperating....but jeff green??..... :bleh:

I had to go with kind of. I feel sorry for Steve Park and hope things work out for him in the long run. I think he came back too soon and is now in a hole that he needs to dig out of. Maybe some time off and reflection along with continuing healing progress will do it...jut my opinion.

Jeff Green? I don't know. Haven't followed him very much. I know he has been the center of controvesy, often with team mates. Sometimes it's the situation(s), sometimes it's the person. I don't know well enough to know.

I had to go with "kind of", also. While I think I understand Steve's being let go, I just can't see Green coming on board.
Maybe there is a reason, but only DEI knows it right now... ;) we'll see how things go!

I can see that Steve wasn't being all that productive, but Jeff Green? Don't know how much of an improvemnt that will be.

I had to say no. I like Steve Park. But I know drivers come and go. But to replace him with somebody that is not any better well it don't make sence.

Steve Park needed to be let go, but to replace anyone with Jeff Green is pretty insulting. Don't ya think?

Green... eh, it wasn't working out, now he's got a chance to prove himself in another ride. If the chemistry wasn't there, why go to the end of the season.

Park... and he was complaining about only being given one more season in that ride. Him getting less than that isn't really a surprise. I don't think Steve should even be driving a street car right now. He's been a rolling wreck on wheels this season, and his mounting frustration has only made him more dangerous. Park has come a long way, but he has not recovered yet, in my opinion. I hope he races again, but right now it's best that he moves on.

I went with kinda

I love steve but its a business desicion. But firing Steve for Jeff Green? Thats a little strange.

I can see them letting Steve go, but to put Jeff in the car is hard to understand. The way he talked about DEI at Daytona I am surprised they would hire him to sweep the floors. I am glad to see Mike in the #30. He will be a better team mate than Jeff ever was. Just to bad Dale and Mikey won't be getting any help from Jeff.

I went with kind of.Actually feel a little sorry for Park,at least Green has a ride. And a better one than he left,IMO.

Earnhardt and Childress are linked closely, anyway, despite the public relations sham they sometimes put on.The problem might be that this could disrupt a pretty solid season for DEI.(And my fingers are crossed :p )

If any part of the statement is false the entire statement is false. I agree with the firing of Steve, but not the hiring of Jeff Green. I think Steve and DEI just need to go seperate ways. There are plenty of stories of drivers going to another team and having there careers jump started. I hope this is the case with Steve.

As for Jeff, I think he needs some more maturity. He did win races in busch. It would have been interesting to see how he would have done with teammates of Harvick and Dale, Sr.??????

I went with kind of. I don't think DEI should have fired Steve Park. What they should have done is put him in the Chance2 Busch car for the rest of the season.

The only reason I think DEI put Jeff Green in the 1 car instead of a younger driver is because Jeff drove for Dale Earnhardt in the Busch series way back in 1996.
