34 years ago today, on the day before Thanksgiving, I gave up the single life and married my High School Sweetheart.

She stood beside me for 10 years in the Navy, not knowing whether I would be home next week or flying overseas somewhere.

She put up with me during my years as a biker, when my Harley seemed more important than my family.

She waited for me during all those many Hunting seasons, when I would be gone all weekend every weekend through the winter months.

She even tolerates my racing, the many hours spent out working on the car, the weekends I'm traveling off to a Race, all the extra money that's thrown at a race car.

Through all this she has stood beside me for all these years. She has helped me up, when I have fallen, sometimes with a lifting hand sometimes with a boot to the butt.

It hasn't been easy sailing but it always seems that when one of us were down the other was there to help get through. Our ups and downs don't often match but thank God we have matched more on the ups than the downs.

So for my High School Sweetheart, my wife of 34 years, the mother of my children, the grandmother of my grandkids, my Soul Mate I say thanks and get me a six pack while your at the store.

I put this here because I'm told I never let people know what I feel. Now everyone knows.

WTG! Not to many in this day can say they are with their High school sweetheart, let alone say they have been married as long as you have. I say congrats to you and yours and may you have many more together.
