Gordon -vs- Johnson. So..... @ Texas a little fire between these two that seemed to be further fueled in the closing laps @ Talladega. Richmond's a great track for this to continue IMO. Do you think we've seen the end of this? Is it all just head games?

I'd like to see it continue. Some of you called it whining when Gordon got out of his car and spoke his mind. Call it what you want but there's nothing like some good trash talk. I'm sure in their interviews when they get to the track tomorrow that we'll hear how all is good with the two of them. I hope that's not the case.

I hope that you are right and its not over.Nascar needs rivalries.Lots of them.Fewer penalties and lots of pushin and shovin.Have at it boys.

it'a just natural tempers flaring in/after the heat of a race. it will blow over. maybe not this week but i don't expect any long lasting controversy. hopefully they can both keep their racing at the top of their game and provide a good rivalry all year. on the track. <g>

I think it's more that other drivers tired of losing to this Johnson and it's frustrating them, just as it is most of us. I think that's how it started with Gordon & Johnson @ Texas and it's why it continues. It's not just Gordon. Other drivers are tired of it as well. Kurt Bush said as much after the Bristol race.

With Johnson racking up title after title Gordon sees his chances of breaking the King's and Sr's record of 7 titles slowly go away. That has to be frustrating.

Especially frustrating for Gordon when he owns half the car and pays a portion of Johnson's salary. It does seem to me that Johnson races his boss just a tad harder than he does others. My 2¢

I'd like to see anyone, Gordon included, try to ruffle JJ's feathers. It's amazing how the guy can win 4 straight titles and no one seems to challenge him. Back in the 70's when you had Petty winning all of his and Cale winning his 3 straight, the other drivers wouldn't take it. They either played mind games, talked smack, or raised their game to beat whoever was at the top. You don't see that now. That's the problem with these multi-car teams.
