The future is looking good for the sport car world, With 43% of nascar fans that like road courses compared too only 24% that like super speedways. I doubt if this will change any thing, heh, but its kinda interesting to know.

I am part of the 23%. I love every single race that they have...It really doesnt matter what type of race track! But I will say that I dont like the road courses as much.

I love road courses. They separate the men from the boys. In an oval, if you dont have the car under you, you cant compete, except for the short tracks of course. In a road course, its all about the driver.

Real drivers win on the road courses and the short tracks. :D

You only like road courses because Robby G. does well there!

You would think it would be higher than 24% just counting Junior fans :p

What...I am mostly serious. It seems more than 24% of NASCAR fans are Junior fans and it would stand to reason that Junior fans would like Superspeedways, doesn't it?

I love the road courses.Create more of 'em to replace the plate races.
I couldnt DIS-agree with you any more!

if theres 4 plate races then there should definately be 4 rcs, I think its an insult that theres more plate then rcs. take 2 plates or add 2 road courses.

That is a good observationt RG FAN. ^_^

I am in the 43% bracket! I love the races at Sonoma and the Glen. Its a change from the roundy round each week! If they do drop the Glen sometime I hope they replace it with another Road race, maybe LeGuna Seca in California where Cart just raced. I would like the IRL to add 2 or 3 road races(no more) to there schedual but I don't think that will happen next year.

I really liek any type of track to watch a race but permanet Road Courses, SHort and Plate tracks are my favorite

That would never happen. ISC only owns one road course and who wants to go to watkins glen twice? They deffinately wouldn't drop the plate races, way too much money and since ISC own both tracks.

I agree with you on there needing to be more road courses. I always thought mid ohio would be a great place to go. Then we could run on the Indy road course or the Daytona road course.

The ideal solution would be to have:

4 races at road courses
4 races at restrictor plate tracks
8 races at tracks a mile or shorter
10 races at tracks between a mile and a mile and a half
6 races at tracks over a mile and a half not restrictor plates
2 street course races
1 all star race (for points) in an elimination style race

Thats 35 races right there, and no track would have a second date, only one date for each track so they hit every market.

Of course thats my opinion of an ideal solution to all the scheduling, but this is Nascar, it will never happen.

I love the road courses also; they really get to show who has a changable driving style/talent. Add more and drop some of the boring cookie cutter 1.5 mile ovals. Places like Road America, Mid-Ohio would kill to get a cup date and they are safe and ready to go. What about moving the "Winston/Nextell" from Lowe's to Indy - the first half is on the traditional oval and the second half is on the infield F-1 road course. Now that would be a fun night!

I agree with PB, it is a change from the round.

The RC is ok but I would rather have a good short track. Would like to see them add a couple of dirt tracks. It will never happen but it would be nice. :D
