Yet another story about stupid criminals and the old ladies who beat them up.
NOOSAVILLE, Australia -- Dawn Fraser, who won swimming gold medals at three Olympics, fought off and helped capture a man who tried to rob her home north of Brisbane.
The 71-year-old Fraser said Monday the man grabbed her but she fought back.
"This guy came out of the gate and grabbed me and I grabbed him by the ear and I kicked him in the groin," she told several Australian television stations.
"So he had to let me go. He threatened my life and I got really annoyed about that and just grabbed him by the ear and the hair."
She said a male friend made the man lie on his stomach until police arrived on Sunday.
Fraser won eight Olympic medals, including four golds, and held the 100-meter freestyle world record from 1956 to 1972. She won the 100 free at the 1956, 1960 and 1964 Olympics.

This guy needs to remember the old proverb "if you are gonna attack an old lady, makes sure she can't beat your ass". I think that was Ghandi who said that
