I dont like rap but I went and saw this movie with some friends anyway. I thought it was a great movie, if you like dramas, comedys or would just like to see what eminem went through check it out.

Hey smack, post your website again..........somehow I lost it in my bookmarks. Want to check your site out again.......see how it's coming along.:)

I want to see it!! I think i am just goign to wait untill it comes out on DVD.
I want to see the new movie Drumline. I was in marchign band and I think its about time for someone to make a movie with the band as the focus.

I guess this is of the genre that I just don't care for. I'm at a loss for understanding the attitude of that generation. Always scowling and never smiling. Sorry, but I don't think I will see this one.

will he didn't have much to smile about.

but there are several humorous scenes in the film.

Hey, we all have our problems while growing up. I've heard the story about poor little Marshall Mathers. I've seen a lot worse and people have overcome and survived and still could smile. He and others either have a chip on their shoulder, or are trying to make people believe they are thugs. Either way, it doesn't impress me.

That's kind of a problem with a percentage of this generation........there is always something to smile about. But you have to focus on something other than things bad or sad. Just a perception of life..........focus on the bad and you see mostly bad. Reverse that and you see less bad. Just my thoughts here.:)

Yea alot of people have had it worse, wasn't saying they didn't. But I would much rather watch a movie about a person with problems in there lives becoming something better then see a movie about someone rich getin richer. anyway JMO

DE, I deliver all sorts of entertainment magazines daily, and it never fails that when there is a picture of a young star, especially a rap star, they have the biggest frown on their face. Many kids love to emulate their idols and thus they frown as well. I think it goes back to the beginning of rap music. The subjects of many, if not most of the songs, if you want to call them that, was very violent and the artists wanted to act like thugs. It's their thing and that's okay, but I just don't care for it. This is truely a generational thing.

Only problem there Buck is that that generation grows up and becomes "us".........doesn't look good for happy stuff in about 20 yrs.:( But, I'll smile anyway.:)

Sounds to me like you think the movie is about rap and thugs. just like any other movie some good things happen some bad things happen.

whats with the smile and frown thing anyway, I guess they should stop making horror movies. no smiles

No comment smack..........it's a generational thing. Happens every generation. The world will survive.:)

Smack, that's quite okay. I loved to watch movies my folks hated. I was just making comment on how the generations have changed. It's funny how that happens. Sometimes it happens quickly and at other times, it happens slowly. If I were to see the movie, I might get something out of it and it might be enjoyable. But since I can't connect with the people, I don't think I would enjoy it. But then again, I loved Elvis movies. :)

I went and watched it with my unlce hes 30, and he liked it. Most of the people in the audience were under 23 but there were a couple older adults. I dunno maybe it is, I know alot of precepetions change over years even in the young life I have lived.

Smack, a few months ago, I went with my wife and another couple to see the movie The Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. There were only two males in the whole house. I loved the movie and would see it again. Perception is everything. 8 Mile was made for your generation and is being advertised as such.
