Kevin Conway made 1 lap around the track on saturday night and earned an $84,000.00 pay check...:D

David Ragan won the race and got paid $302,000.00...:sarcasm:

Nemechek ran 169 laps and only made $87,000.00...:D

The "NEW NASCRAP" needs to get rid of the S&P.. B.S.....32 car field...Sponsorship CAP of 10 mil per car....Mega-Teams allowed 6 cars ea...FASTEST 32 cars race....everybody else goes home, no matter who they are....They need to take some of these things into consideration, if they plan to SURVIVE.........:confused:

One other thing....Pay the drivers by the lap....and by the position they are in each lap...NO MORE of this hangin in the back till it's GO TIME....crap...make em race...or park em....
 
I don't know if I agree with that solution, but I do agree something needs to be done. The S&P teams are basically stealing money.
 
That is the nuttiest post I have ever seen. Drivers start and park because they have to , not because they want to . They have to keep entering the race because they are trying to attract a sponsor , not because they want the last place money , which doesn't cover their expenses of running the race team . If it were anything other then a way to attract a sponsor, hundreds of people would be doing it. Nemechek himself has had to start and park , so has Dave Blaney and many others . As for only paying the lead car on each lap , wow , that is even more nuts . Other than the start and park cars, every racer out there is trying to get the best finish that he can , given his talent ,crew, and equipment . Yes even if he is racing someone for twenty fouth position or thirty fifth position . He is racing for his career if nothing else. I would hate to see one of the Hendrick or Gibbs cars go home with the entire purse , just because they are richer already . Someday a driver like Alan Kulwicki is going to rise out of the start and park ranks again.
